Full service engineering firm with tradition and reputation that goes back over 40 years looking to add a Bridge Engineer to their Indianapolis office!
Responsibilities :
- Design bridges, small structures,and retaining walls
- Perform hydraulic modeling to sizebridges over waterways
- Design roadway approaches leading upto the bridges
- Prepare plans for bridges that meetapplicable INDOT design specifications and AASHTO policies / procedures
- Design single / multi spanbridges / small structures using the following :
oSteel girder plate
oPrestressed concrete girder
oReinforced concrete slab
oBox girder beams
- Perform bridge sizing, structuraldesign, seismic analysis, bridge plan and special provision development, andestimating
- Supervise CAD technicians
- Provide in-depth, fracture critical,routine, and scour critical bridge inspections / load ratings
- Prepare inspection reports
Requirements :
- BS in civil engineering with anemphasis on structures (either major or 5+ courses)
- Knowledge of pre-stressed concrete thatwas either learned through six months of work or a college course
