We are looking for an assembler and a customer experience manager to join our team at CNOC Outdoors. This is a two hats position that requires both thinking and making, balancing between the more mundane tasks around production and the engagement and the ebb-and-flow of working with people in a customer service role.
The assembler part (about 1 / 2-2 / 3 of the time) sits within our manufacturing team and tasks include building, bonding, assembling, and packing our handmade trekking poles.
Working with one other team member to produce the right number of poles as needed by our users, constantly striving to optimize the production process and keeping a close eye on Quality Assurance.
As a customer engagement manager (1 / 3-1 / 2 of the time), you will be in charge of ensuring that the interaction customers have with our company, is positive and satisfactory.
From questions to warranty issues, updating our site or helping drop-by visitors to our warehouse. You will also be leading any DTC events, our part in those events and enhancing the experience for our customers and us.
To be successful in this role you need to be a maker, a tinkerer and comfortable with using power tools, using chemicals and PPE.
You should be happy to communicate with people, both in person and behind the keyboard, tech savvy and full of ideas to improve on how we do things.
As part of a small team, you can expect to take part in much more : from shipping to R&D, testing to photography and video, so creativity is always encouraged.
You will preferably be coming from a retail background and are looking to forge the path on which our company communicates with our customers, continuing our interactions with integrity and superb customer support.
You dont need to have experience in assembling but need to be comfortable working with your hands.
You will be in charge of taking all calls, emails and chats from our various customers during set office hours (will be decided together) in our office in SE Portland, OR while splitting your time to also take part in trekking pole production.
Customer support and satisfaction is key to how we do business and joining our team means that you embrace that too. From excellent product knowledge to superior manners and personal passion for the outdoors, you must be able to make every interaction with our customers a success.
