We're looking for hands-on security engineers with expertise and passion in building out security platforms and applications in distributed systems, multi-tenant services and large-scale infrastructures. Things you'll do :

Prototype, design, and implement a new software and trusted infrastructure

Define and implement solutions for new and challenging problems

Design and build new services to support customer security

Must have Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

8+ years of experience with software design and development

Demonstrated ability to write code in Java / Python from scratch or similar OO languages

Proven ability to deliver products and experience with the full software development lifecycle

Proficient with data structures, algorithms, operating systems.

Experience working on large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure

Strong collaboration and communication skills to thrive in cross-functional teams

Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive

Experience designing architectures that demonstrate deep technical depth in one area, or span many products, to enable high availability, scalability, market-leading features and flexibility to meet future business demands

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience working in a large cloud provider or Internet software company.

Experience in building out new cloud products, specifically security and network related.

Strong knowledge of Application Security and of Security platforms in the Cloud infrastructure.

Experience collaborating with software development teams, data scientists, business and other technical roles.

Experience with Windows, Linux and other Operating System

Responsibilities

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug net-new software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Provide technical leadership to other software developers.

Work across teams to engineer the best system (for operations and customers) regardless of organizational boundaries or ownership.

Scale our systems by building tooling and automation.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8+ years of software engineering or related experience.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US : Hiring Range in USD from : $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off : Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave : 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
