L&D Travel RN

• tMonitor patient throughout (before / during / after) the labor
• tProvide information, guidance and hands-on clinical care to expectant parents.
• tMonitor fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during labor.
• tAdminister medications and treatments as ordered to assigned patients.
• tProvide guidance to new parents on all aspects of recovery and infant care.
• tIf necessary, respond to a medical emergency and alert appropriate team members.
• tFlexibility to travel to the assignment location.
• tAvailability to work the facility’s required schedule.
• tWillingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
• tAbility to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
• tAlso referred to as : Labor and Delivery registered nurse, obstetrical nurse, OB nurse.

Job Requirements

• t2 years of experience as a L&D nurse
• tGraduate from an accredited nursing school
• tCurrent state specific RN license in good standing, or if applicable, a compact state RN license in good standing
• tBLS certification required
