Job Overview :
We are looking for a skilled Junior Accountant to be responsible for providing support to the accounting department by performing a variety of accounting tasks.
This includes data entry, book-keeping, maintaining financial records, & preparing reports. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling confidential information.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Supporting the daily functions of the Accounting department.
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable data.
- Generate financial statements and reports.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven working experience in Accounts Payables.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
Minimum Qualifications :
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience within an accounting or finance role.
- Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
