Job Description :

The University of Florida, College of Medicine, Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) seeks a full-time Assistant / Associate / Full Professor to join the UF Health- Family Medicine Springhill II in beautiful Gainesville, FL.

The position will provide direct patient care as part of a team-based setting, working with UF medical students and outstanding clinical pharmacists, staff, and nurses as part of the healthcare team.

This position is non-tenure accruing. Rank will be commensurate with qualification. Full-time is strongly preferred; however, part-time will be considered depending on the applicant’s and clinic's needs.

Clinical Duties :

  • Provide direct primary health care as a Family Medicine Physician at the UF Health Family Medicine - Springhill II Clinic.
  • Engage in direct patient care, including attending at the UF Health Family Medicine Springhill II Clinic
  • Participating in inpatient or clinic call rotations based on the needs of the department
  • Supervisory role with ARNP / PAs to deliver team-based care using innovative models.

Educational Activities :

  • Conduct teaching activities for medical students during patient care, inpatient rounds (if applicable), and educational conferences.
  • Encouragement and support for scholarly activity and professional development to advance faculty, department, and discipline.
  • Access to experienced mentors and departmental support for presenting and publishing work and fostering professional growth.

About Community Health and Family Medicine :

The primary mission of the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine is to serve our patients and community, positively shaping the future of healthcare through outstanding teaching, discovery, and innovation in family medicine.

The vision at CHFM is to be a nationally recognized model department of family medicine. CHFM integrates teaching in humanistic medicine, medical ethics, behavioral medicine, and rural and community health into both undergraduate and graduate curricula.

Minimum Requirements :

M.D. or D.O. degree or equivalent, Board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, and current Florida medical license or eligibility is required.
