Our client’s focus is designing and developing automated control systems to many areas of manufacturing with a focus on sanitary systems for the dairy, beverage, and food industries.

Customer Service is key to this company! They are looking for an energetic and responsible Electrical Engineer that can travel to customer sites 50% of the time.

RELOCATION IS POSSIBLE FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

To design, develop and supervise all aspects of control systems. This includes :

  • PLC programming
  • HMI software implementation
  • Panel electrical design
  • Instrumentation and equipment specification
  • Start-up and technical support of PLC based hardware and software systems

Skills / Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent education / training.
  • MINIMUM 3-5 years of hands-on experience in controls engineering / project management for process manufacturers.
  • Strong computer skills including Office applications, CAD, SQL.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Logix platforms and PanelView HMIs
  • Experience with SCADA programming (Wonderware InTouch preferred)
  • Ability to design and troubleshoot various communication networks including RS485, ControlNet, DeviceNet and Ethernet
  • Troubleshoot basic electric circuits including 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC circuits.
  • Ability to setup basic instruments including flow meters, level sensor, pressure sensors, and conductivity meters
  • Ability to work independently
  • Very strong problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Communicate Effectively with a wide variety of people with differing skill sets
  • Ability to understand complex processes and troubleshoot systems of Equipment from various manufacturers
  • Ability to manage large projects and to manage support staff who may be assigned to such projects
  • Experience with legacy Allen Bradley PLC’s including PLC 5, SLC’s and associated communication such as DH+

Experience :

  • PLC programming : 3 years (Required)
  • HMI / SCADA Development : 3 years (Required)

Willingness to travel :

  • 50% (Preferred)
