The Opportunity
The Assembly Team Lead is responsible for a variety of operations functions within the framework of Metallics policies and procedures and in compliance of applicable regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
- Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
- Coach and Train team members.
- Develop and implement a timeline to achieve targets.
- Develop team strengths and improve weaknesses.
- Identify team goals and evaluate team progress.
- Delegate tasks, follows up and assures production orders are processed (or completed) accurately.
- Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
- Motivate team members.
- Listen to team members’ feedback.
- Replenish team with materials as needed. (Ensure the team is supplied with material and / or production order as needed)
- Assist team members with achieving production goals.
Qualifications
- Lead experience - 1 year (minimum).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Confidence and skillful negotiating skills.
- Computer literate.
- Strong organizational skills to give the team direction.
- Knowledge of basic math; accuracy in counts.
- Strong track record of safety performance / communication.
- Must be responsible, reliable and take ownership of assigned duties.
- Ability to take initiative and organize their own work independently.
- Manufacturing 2 years (preferred).
Educational Requirements
High School or equivalent
