We are hiring an F&B General Manager!
SUMMARY :
The F&B General Manager is a proactive position, working side-by-side with the mixologists, culinarians, and guests to deliver our brand experience.
This individual will provide leadership and direction by example and through firsthand demonstration of brand standards.
Essential to the success of this position is the ability to drive revenue, control costs, and achieve operational and financial targets.
This is to be done with a focus on guest and team member engagement, delivering memorable events, and exceeding guest expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop, communicate and implement a business strategy that is aligned with the property and brand and lead in its execution.
- Provide inspirational leadership to enliven the brand culture.
- Supervise and manage team members and day-to-day operations understanding positions well enough to perform duties in team member absence.
Demonstrate functional expertise; ensuring staffing levels are appropriate to meet business demands.
- Establish goals to ensure and maintain the productivity level of team members.
- Assist team members on the floor, behind the bar, and in the kitchen during high demand times.
- Provide excellent customer service to all team members and respond quickly and proactively to team member concerns.
- Ensure the front of house team delivers a consistent experience that remains guest focused, with service and guest experience delivered to the highest standards.
- Ensure an atmosphere is created that is consistent with the brand at all times of day and night and that it increases dwell time.
- Create and execute an exciting events program and effectively manage the events from start to finish including the effective communication on key social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
- Partner with internal and external PR and marketing departments to position a highly successful bar and restaurant destination.
- Monitor guest feedback and performance data to optimize guest engagement and retention and take appropriate corrective action.
Respond quickly and proactively to guest’s concerns and take ownership of guest complaints / problems until they are addressed and resolved.
- Improve service by communicating and assisting team members to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
- Meet with guests on an informal basis to obtain feedback on food & beverage quality, service and overall satisfaction.
- Build and develop lasting relationships with corporate clients and social and industry networks that maximize business development opportunities.
- Focus on driving topline revenue to ensure revenue targets are met.
- Stay informed of market trends and introduce new products and services to drive guest engagement, increase revenue and ensure a competitive position in the market.
- Develop the budget and monitor financial performance to ensure goals are met or exceeded and opportunities are identified and addressed.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the restaurants including purchasing, prevention & loss, payment of invoices and payroll.
- Ensure proper controls are in place and polices are established and followed by all team members.
- Ensure regular, ongoing communication occurs between staff and management and that all senior management are fully informed of all activities and that sales driving opportunities are maximized.
- Recruit and select talented leaders and team members who will enhance the culture and provide opportunities for growth and development to retain staff.
- Create a learning atmosphere of continuous improvement with a focus on accountability by challenging existing processes, and encouraging innovation and driving necessary change.
- Provide guidance and direction to subordinates through coaching, counseling, mentoring, and performance reviews.
- Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and inspire others; advocate sound business decisions;
demonstrate honesty and integrity; lead by example.
