About the Role

Are you a dynamic leader passionate about home health care? We are seeking a Director of Nurses (DON) to lead our team! In this pivotal role, you will oversee and coordinate home health services, ensuring quality care under established policies and standards.

Reporting to the Administrator, you will be at the forefront of planning, coordination, evaluation, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Coordination : Lead the nursing team, develop policies, and ensure top-tier patient care.
  • Strategic Planning : Work with the Administrator to shape strategic goals, allocate resources, and create budgets.
  • Supervision : Direct and supervise patient care staff, foster professional growth, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Communication : Serve as a liaison between patient services and administration, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Community Engagement : Represent our agency in the community, building strong relationships and promoting our services.

Qualifications

  • Experience : Physician or Registered Nurse with 2+ years of nursing experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or administrative role.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Licensing : Registered Nurse licensed in Indiana.
  • Certifications : Current CPR certification required.
  • Background Check : Must pass a criminal history background check.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with the Administrator and CEO on business plans, policy development, and staffing assessments.
  • Oversee the implementation of service goals, objectives, and standards to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels within the organization.
  • Keep staff updated with the latest clinical information and practices.
  • Maintain and update policy and procedure manuals.
  • Direct staff in their duties and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in community health trend discussions, professional growth workshops, and marketing activities.
