Job Duties :
- Proactively maintain and repair production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, and PLCs.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity and compliance with regulations.
- Fabricate repair parts using machining techniques to meet precise specifications.
- Collaborate with production workers, providing technical guidance and support to enhance operational efficiency.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and updating certifications.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts by taking on additional duties as assigned and needed.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Possession of a Stationary Engineer's License, preferably from the City of Chicago.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
- Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, and PLCs.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and USDA regulations (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Bilingual proficiency (preferred).
- Valid state driver's license.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
