DAC Engineered Products is currently seeking a Materials Manager to join our growing team. The Materials Manager will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of aircraft parts and materials while ensuring optimal inventory levels to support our maintenance and repair activities.
This role requires effective communication, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Duties & Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with maintenance, repair, and operations teams to understand inventory needs and requirements.
- Source and procure aircraft parts, components, and materials from approved suppliers and vendors.
- Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate pricing, and establish favorable terms and agreements
- Maintain accurate records of purchased items, prices, and delivery schedules.
- Create and manage purchase orders in accordance with procurement procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Work closely with the stockroom and warehouse teams to manage incoming shipments and stock levels.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any delivery or quality issues promptly.
- Participate in vendor selection and qualification processes.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and manage inventory levels and movements.
- Generate and analyze reports related to procurement, inventory, and consumption
- Identify opportunities to optimize inventory turnover and reduce costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement and planning.
- Assist in the development and improvement of procurement and inventory control procedures.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of parts for maintenance and repairs
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory planning, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and quality control standards related to procurement.
- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
