Description Of Work

The Human Resources Manager at Iverson Riddle Developmental Center (IRDC) provides strategic and operational HR leadership across core HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, organizational development, and policy compliance. This position ensures the effective delivery of HR programs and services that support the facility's goals while maintaining alignment with statewide policies and agency priorities. The role involves supervising a team of HR professionals and collaborating with internal partners to ensure consistent, high-quality HR support throughout the organization.

Key Duties

  • Leads, mentors, and develops a team of HR professionals supporting Iverson Riddle Developmental Center.
  • Partners with facility leadership to identify, address, and resolve HR challenges impacting performance and workforce culture.
  • Plans and implements strategic HR initiatives that support operational goals and workforce development.
  • Develops and evaluates HR processes to increase efficiency, compliance, and customer service outcomes.
  • Uses HR data and performance metrics to inform decision-making and track continuous improvement.
  • Oversees complex employee relations matters and ensures fair, consistent application of policy.
  • Coordinates recruitment strategies to reduce vacancies and align staffing with facility needs.
  • Collaborates with division-level HR functions to ensure integrated, consistent application of HR practices.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and departmental policies.
  • Participates in leadership meetings, performance evaluations, and cross-functional HR coordination.

Salary Grade Range

$67,996 – $132,593

Minimum Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, typically in Human Resources or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution, and at least five years of experience in human resources, including two years of experience in an HR leadership position.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
