Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly

Hourly Pay : $23.00 Per Hour

Mile Reimbursement to Location after 25 miles-$0.64 cpm

Hours Per Week : 40 - 50 or more hours per week

Paid Training

Schedule : Sunday-Saturday Operation- will have 2 consecutive days off

Start Time : Dispatch 8 : 00 PM- 3 : 00 AM 8 - 10 hours per shift

Deliver SOLO To : 80 mile radius of Owings Mills, Catonsville, Rockville, Alexandria, Fredericksburg, Waldorf, Gambrills and Salisbury - Will be required to help at any of these locations as needed.

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24 / 7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age

Minimum of 9 months of verifiable driving experience

Pass a Ryder Drug Test

Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment :

9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR

2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR

5 years' experience within the last 10 years

Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Pass a DOT physical

Pass a Ryder road test

Must have a valid driver’s license

Ability to follow written and / or oral instructions

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures

Important Note : Additional requirements may be required in different locations and / or accounts.

Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.

Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and / or state laws, regulations, and / or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards

Maintaining accurate records Loading / Unloading freight or assisting in the loading / unloading of freight if required by customer
