WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
This job contributes to Evolution Fresh success by ensuring that plant equipment is repaired and maintained in a timely manner.
Models and acts in accordance with Evolution Fresh guiding principles.
- Assists maintenance team and supports all aspects of the maintenance department as needed, including general building and grounds maintenance
- Assists with the installation of all new equipment
- Completes plant work orders, part lists, and preventive maintenance
- Ensures all plant equipment is functioning at optimum levels by performing short-term repairs and long-term improvements
- Completes tasks thoroughly and accurately to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory
- requirements
- Understands and follows established safety guidelines, programs, and procedures; and actively works to prevent safety incidents
- Supports food safety, legality, and quality programs
- Maintains product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures
- Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Evolution Fresh Mission & Values
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School / GED or one to two years’ experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
- Automated manufacturing or distribution environment (5 years)
- General industrial maintenance and electrical systems (5 years)
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Ability to work variable shifts to support business needs
- Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate technical and operational issues clearly and concisely
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical plant equipment
- Ability to understand mechanical and technical equipment manuals
- Ability to work in elevated areas with ladders, roofs, overhead lights
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of welding, plumbing, and machining
- Attention to detail
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience repairing and maintaining high speed packaging equipment (2 years)
- Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (21 CFR 117) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
Experience with BRC or SQF certification schemes.
