Job Title : Install Technician
The Position : The Install Technician position reports to the VP of Construction and will regularly communicate with the Install team, Production team, and Project Managers.
The Install Technician’s primary responsibilities will be to complete the install process, which consists of connecting electrical and plumbing fixtures, lifting and placing appliances, installing cabinetry, troubleshooting at construction sites, moderate handiwork to ensure all onboard appliances and equipment are functioning properly.
From there the Install Technician will walk through the project with the client and execute a formal handoff with inspection requirements and health codes in mind.
This position is best suited for someone who is flexible, patient, and eager to contribute to the success of Capsule by setting our customer up for success.
Primary Responsibilities (Installs- Remote) :
- Traveling to install destinations :
- Flexibility to travel and work in different environments
- Equipment Installation :
- Install and deploy construction equipment, machinery, and systems according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand installation requirements and timelines.
- Ensure the proper alignment, positioning, and functionality of installed equipment.
- Material Handling :
- Safely and efficiently handle construction materials, tools, and supplies.
- Transport and position materials at the construction site using appropriate equipment.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of construction materials.
- Site Preparation :
- Participate in site preparation activities, including excavation, grading, and leveling.
- Work with excavation equipment and hand tools to prepare the construction site for installation.
- Quality Assurance :
- Conduct quality checks on installed components to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Identify and report any issues or discrepancies during the installation process.
- Safety Compliance :
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment per OSHA.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines during installation activities.
- Documentation :
- Maintain accurate records of installed components and materials.
- Report daily activities and progress to project managers and supervisors.
Secondary Responsibilities -(No Installs- Onsite)
6 : 00 AM- 2 : 30 PM factory in Anaheim
May involve the following areas of assembly
- Framing, wall board, insulation and panels.
- Aluminum powder coat and stainless steel food service assemblies.
- Food service and commercial / residential appliance installation.
- Machine operating including press brake, water jet / laser, stud forming machine.
- Hand tool use for assembling metal stud, trim, interior and exterior finishes and cabinetry.
- Assist with inventory, receiving and shipping including palletizing, stacking, wrapping and moving material around the facility.
- Perform quality control checks on parts and materials entering or leaving the manufacturing facility.
- Regular work space cleaning and organization.
- Attention to safety procedures and protocols.
- Final inspections of all assemblies leaving the facility to certify quality of assembly.
- Build to UL and HCD Commercial Modular licensed assembly standards.
- Attending project specific meetings
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years construction, plumbing, electrical, or similar experience preferred
- Valid US Driver's License
- Proficiency in using hand tools
- Forklift certification a plus
- Experience with hauling trailers and / or moving large equipment a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Willingness to travel at a moment’s notice
- Desire to deliver a top tier product to our customers
- Adaptability to last minute changes, or unexpected situations
- Eagerness to improve processes within day-to-day operations in an effort to streamline deployment and install processes
- OSHA 30 Certification (preferred)
