Compensation Range : $140,579.00 - $93,719.00

Job Summary

Following routine protocols and procedures under the supervision of the Director of Health, Safety and Environmental; performs environmental compliance activities.

Prepares AQMD emission reports, AQMD Record keeping, AQMD Title V experience, Toxic Release Inventory reports, storm water reports, CUPA, and other regulatory reports and conducts environmental compliance audits.

Completes the actions derived from internal audits and manages the internal document control system.

Job Responsibilities

  • pare new equipment / process permit applications
  • Monitor existing permit conditions for compliance and renewals
  • Prepare environmental compliance reports and documents, maintain chemical usage logs, and calculate emissions.
  • Conducted facility audits for various regulatory compliance and maintained records.
  • Manage wastewater and process chemistry analysis.
  • Safety, environmental, and facility project management,
  • Wastewater treatment monitoring. Hazardous waste management
  • Will be required to interact with regulatory agency inspectors.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Able to work through problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Able to lead small groups in problem-solving exercises.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Three (3) to six (6) years of experience in the environmental health and safety field with knowledge of South Coast AQMD Air regulations, Industrial Storm water regulations, Hazardous waste management regulations, and OSHA regulations.
  • Experience in Air Emissions calculations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial safety.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Access.
  • Experience in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Strong communication abilities, able to exchange routing information appropriately.
  • Stoichiometry for chemical calculation, and knowledgeable in chemistry
