The ideal candidate will have a solid background in handling class actions, representative actions, and single-plaintiff matters and expertise in providing general employment advice and counsel.
The role involves various litigation tasks, including discovery, drafting motions and briefs, and conducting / defending depositions.
Vital research and writing skills are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Represent clients in labor and employment disputes, including class actions and single-plaintiff cases.
- Provide general employment advice and counsel to clients.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Attend and represent clients at evidentiary hearings, status conferences, and trials.
- Manage discovery processes and ensure compliance with legal procedures.
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective legal strategies and solutions.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends in labor and employment.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 3-5 years of general litigation and labor and employment law experience.
- Demonstrated experience with class actions, representative actions, and single-plaintiff matters.
- Proficient in conducting depositions and handling complex litigation tasks.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Must be admitted to practice law in the State of California.
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Admitted to practice law in the State of California.
Skills :
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
