A Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI's in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team.

Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.

Schedule : 36 hours / week guaranteed; salaried; shared on-call duties apx 10 days / month

Compensation : Pay range from $35-$45 per hour, depending on nursing and dialysis experience

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect :

  • Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
  • Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
  • Administer and chart all prescribed medications
  • Follow CDC / CMS infection control regulations
  • Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews
  • Document required patient education efforts
  • Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
  • Assist in medication inventory maintenance
  • Lead a small patient care team
  • Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
  • Additional tasks as requested

Qualifications

Education / Training :

  • Accredited nursing degree required
  • Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available
  • DCI provides 3-months of comprehensive training, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training
  • New graduates encouraged to apply
