About theRole :
New Heights Career Servicesis seeking a Development Production Manager for a leading steelfoundry and casting plant. This key role involves working closelywith the current Production Manager learning the ropes andeventually taking over upon their retirement.
This lucrativeposition offers substantial benefits as the company isemployeeowned (ESOP) including annual stock allocations andcompetitive retirementcontributions.
Responsibilities :
LeadershipTransition : Work alongside the current Production Manager tounderstand the operations and take over upon theirretirement.
OperationalManagement : Coordinate and supervise a team of 60 to 75 memberswith 2 direct reports to ensure quality production ofpressurepoured steelcomponents.
TeamCoordination : Collaborate with Production and Process Managers toplan and direct manufacturing operationsefficiently.
MaintenanceCoordination : Work with the Maintenance Manager to schedule andcoordinate maintenanceactivities.
ManpowerPlanning : Plan and schedule workforce requirements to meet laborobjectives.
Compliance andSafety : Ensure compliance with quality standards and maintain asafe workingenvironment.
ContinuousImprovement : Implement costeffective production operations anddrive continuousimprovements.
Qualifications :
Bachelorsdegree in a technical or businessdiscipline.
Minimum of 5years in Manufacturing Operations Leadership preferably in metalfoundry casting steel or machiningoperations.
Strongleadership communication and organizational skills with a proventrack record in operational metrics budget management andcostsavinginitiatives.
Preferred : Experience with JIT Kanban Lean Manufacturing and professionalcertifications (Green Belt Black Belt orLean).
