Overview :

As a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Engineer in Data, you will become a part of a team which builds a reliable hybrid data platform with the focus on data quality and resilience for the whole client360 domain.

We are looking for engineers who will help us build a sustainable ecosystem of infrastructure and tools for engineers and will consult with and educate them in DevOps-related best practices.

What You'll Do :

• Collaboration with Engineering Teams : Work with software developers to ensure that development adheres to the best delivery practices
• Tooling and Automation : Provide tools, automation, and hardware support to optimize engineering efforts
• DevOps / SRE Culture : Enhance and maintain continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines and monitoring systems.

Advocate modern DevOps practices

• Cloud Migration : Assist in the migration of services to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Problem-Solving : Provide third-line support during incident mitigation and investigation

Skills You'll Need :

• Linux Expertise : Sensible knowledge of Linux fundamentals
• Programming Proficiency : Proficiency with at least one language (e.g. Java, Python, Scala) and shell scripting
• Automation Experience : Hands-on experience with CI / CD platforms like Teamcity, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Cloud Technology : Extensive experience with major cloud providers / technologies, GCP is a strong plus
• Containerization : Solid experience with containerization and clustering technologies (docker / k8s), including supportive ones (helm).

Monitoring & Reporting : Hands-on experience with logging, monitoring & alerting tools (e.g. LGTM stack, Splunk)

Skills That Will Help You Excel :

• Cluster & Server Management : Operational experience with distributed services deployment (e.g. with reliance on Apache Zookeeper, etcd)
• Big Data Technologies : Familiarity with Hadoop stack, Apache Spark, and analytical database systems (e.g. Clickhouse / BigQuery / Exadata)
• Enterprise Cloud Tools : Experience with OpenShift (plus), hybrid on-prem / cloud setups (like Google Anthos) - strongest plus
• Message Brokers : Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ / IBM MQ
• NoSQL Database Systems : Experience with Redis, Hazelcast / Ignite is a plus

Expectations :

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location, and other qualifications.

Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
