This is a long temp to hire entry-level position that can lead to advancement opportunities within the company.
Warehouse Associate Job Duties
- Locates and stages material to meet quality of production requirements
- Operates forklift or a side loader to move material following safety standard and procedures, will train
- Moves steel from storage racks and transfers it from inventory to machine
- Stages material for cutting using magnet cranes and moves material using forklift and side loader.
- Pulls appropriate material timely and according to the specifications and sequence stated on the tag or label.
- Lifts product directly or on wooden pallets.
- Responsible for verifying all material is returned to correct storage area and it is labeled properly.
- Stacks and arranges product and pallets safely.
- Assists in other departments if needed
- Operates overhead magnet cranes to move any material over 35 lbs. ensuring all safety standards and procedures are followed

Experience Can you describe your experience with material handling? What exposure do you have with equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or conveyor systems?
Environment What is your experience with manufacturing environments? Are you comfortable working in various weather conditions and potentially lifting heavy objects?
- Cleans operated equipment and responsible for light day-to-day equipment maintenance
- Responsible for notifying Maintenance Technician of any needed maintenance or repairs and notifying managers about any potential safety concerns
- Ensures all necessary work sheet / orders are filled out completely and properly.
- Responsible for pulling correct material from inventory; labeling and returning material to the correct storage location.
Pay and Schedule
- $19 / hr
- 8hr shift
- Monday to Friday
- 2pm-10 : 30pm (Carol Stream), 6am-2 : 30pm
- Overtime If Needed
Requirements
Ability to learn quickly and follow safety protocols
Ability to learn how to safely operate Forklift, side loader, and industrial magnets Good attention-to-detail, with the ability to read and understand labels Perform verbal and written instructions in an organized way Effective communicator, give and welcome constructive feedback.
Capability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and resolve operational challenges efficiently Strong work ethic with a focus on productivity, efficiency, and safety
Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
