Job Description :

Blackwater Public Safety is seeking dedicated and highly professional Armed School Security Officers to join our team. This is a full-time, 10-month contract position, offering summers off, perfect for those who seek a balance between professional commitment and personal time.

As an Armed School Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and school property.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Monitor and control access to school premises.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
• Conduct regular patrols of school grounds and facilities.
• Collaborate with school administrators and law enforcement as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records.

Requirements :

• Valid California Guard Card.
• Valid California Exposed Firearm Permit
• SB 1626 compliant
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Armed School Security Officer in a school environment.
• Valid California Driver's License and willingness to provide a DMV driving history report.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Training :

Upon hire, all new Armed School Security Officers will undergo comprehensive in-house training prior to the start of the school year.

This training will cover various aspects of school safety, emergency response protocols, and other relevant topics to ensure you are fully prepared for your role.
