Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) - Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Experience : 1+ year of experience required
License : Michigan license verification required
Certifications : ACLS, BLS
Must-Have :
- Comfortability with EKG
- Willingness to float to similar units
- Travel experience
- Skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties
Job Description :
- Use clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
- Be a critical member of a unit that cares for over 4000 cardiology patients annually, including procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers.
- Provide care for approximately 300 open-heart surgery patients.
- Specialize in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies.
- Participate in national clinical trials managed by the unit's research department.
- Work within a unit awarded a Silver level Beacon Award and recognized for optimal outcomes and exceptional patient care.
- Collaborate with leadership, medical staff, and colleagues to demonstrate top performance in care, efficiency, and community value.
Important Note :
Strict attendance policy in effect. Three instances of absence or being more than 20 minutes late will result in immediate termination, unless it involves a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence.
Additional Requirements :
- Full-time employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
