Welder
Desiring to work as a welder? This could be the job for you! You’ll be accountable for accurately deciphering engineering drawings to ascertain the best welding and fabrication procedures needed to produce different kinds of shot blast machinery.
Position Responsibilities
- Weld a range of blast cabinets and rooms in accordance with technical specifications
- Interpret mechanical drawings required for thin gauge material layout, measurement, cutting, fitting, and welding
- Maintain welding equipment on a daily basis
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience welding / fabricating thin gauge materials
- High School diploma, completion of tech school program desirable
Essential Skills and Experience
- Must be able to read and interpret complex drawings and precision measuring instruments
- Ability to set-up weld machine parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of common welding tools and materials, MIG and TIG welding techniques, metal fabricating, grinding and finishing metals.
Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys.
- Working knowledge of fixturing and clamping techniques.
- High awareness and respect for working in a safe manner, adhering to all appropriate safety protocols
Physical Requirements
- Exposure to manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing and foot protection
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time

Work Schedule : Mon-Thurs 6AM-4 : 30PM / Friday 6AM-10AM
Occasional Weekends as necessary (Saturday 6AM-12PM)
Location : NE Indianapolis
Pay Range : $24-$26 / hr.
