Registered Clinical Dietitian - PRN

Responsibilities :
- Works closely and receives supervision from Clinical Nutrition Supervisor and Department Director to enhance clinical nutrition care at NRHS.
- Registered Dietitian providing inpatient care.
- Establishes,implements and evaluates nutrition care plans for patients.
- Works closely with Healthcare team to provide high quality nutrition care.
- Preceptor for clinical interns and students.
- Liason between clinical nutrition team and other disciplines and providers.
- Provides training to the clincial team and other departments.

Qualifications : Education
Education
- Any program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that leads to the registration as a Registered Dietitian / Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD / RDN).
- Basic knowledge of subspecialty area (inclucing nutrition support,diabetes, cardiology, renal, oncology)
- Must obtain approximately 15 hours of continuing education credis per calendar year.
- Keep current of new findings / research.
Experience
- Knowledge for use of different formula's when assessing patient's nutritional needs.
- Completion of general and patient care orientation is required prior to providing patient care.
- Six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility is preferred.
Licensure / Certifications
- Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State license.
- Much achieve registration within the first 6 months of eligibility or hire date.
- Must obtain a food handler's permit from Cleveland County Health department before hire (or within one week of hire).
Compensation / Benefits
- $1,000 Sign-On Bonus Included
- $23.57-$37.37 / hr depending on previous work experience.
- $2.50 / hr Premium for being PRN
