Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Drive the technical direction of the team, making architectural decisions and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our always-on SaaS product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, clinical experts, and quality assurance, to define project requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and improve development processes.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies and methodologies of modern software development, ensuring that we are developing high-quality software to the highest standards.

Skills and Qualifications :

• 10+ years’ experience building medical imaging applications with C++ using VTK, OpenInventor, OpenGL, CUDA or similar rendering / high-performance computing libraries.
• 5+ years’ experience with 3D imaging and reconstructed views.
• 3+ years hands-on team leadership experience; 7+ years hands-on development experience.
• Strong programming skills, design principles andpatterns, OOP, templates, multi-threading.
• Understanding of TCP / IP socket communication.
• Working knowledge of (relational) database schema design.
• Working knowledge of source control systems : GitHub or similar and CI / CD experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Knowledge of medical standards, specifically : DICOM.
• Experience with Python.
• Familiarity with cloud (AWS) and interface architecture.
• Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate well with other architects, developers, product owners on a fast-paced, cross-functional, globally located team.
• Familiarity with Linux OS is required (you will be responsible for designing a solution and ensuring the implementation can run on Linux).

Education and Certifications :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

At Elucid, we believe the optimal balance is found in a hybrid work setting. Boston-area employees are strongly encouraged to be in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays, with the option to come in as many days as they’d like.

Fully remote employees, who live outside the greater Boston area, come in as needed.
