Responsibilities :
Evaluating, diagnosing, developing treatment plans, prescribing medication, monitoring medication, evaluating treatment plans, providing referrals for additional treatment needs, collaborating with staff, attend staff meetings / clinic huddles.
Provides information to patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and counseling.
Qualifications
- Have a valid DEA number
- Interested in full-time / part-time contract position
- Proficient computers skills including EHR. Valant (preferred)
- Committment to excellence and high standards of patient care
- Experience treating adults with a variety of mental healthcare needs
- Licensed in California, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification (PMHNP-BC)
- Have current, unrestricted, California NP and Furnishing license without any disciplinary action(s)
- Empathy, communication, active listening, compassionate with diverse populations
- 5 plus years of independent psych NP experience
