About The Position

first timers not accepted License : GA or Compact license required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH / NIHSS Must-Have : Availability to provide core items and complete / schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract.

Job Description : Care for a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics.- Manage and treat conditions such as COVID-19, respiratory failure, DKA, renal failure, hypertension emergencies, CHF, post-carotid endarterectomy, post-surgical patients, sepsis, and stroke.

• Handle and adjust various drips including amiodarone, Cardizem, precede, cardene, labetalol, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, and Nitro.
• Operate equipment such as Glucommander, trach to vents, BIPAPs, high flows, salters, art lines, and bedside cardiac monitors.
• Facilitate rapid sequence intubation and manage patients on sedation and ETTs.- Manage low dose pressors if ICU overflow is needed.
• Work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4 in a 16-bed unit with an average daily census of 16.- Utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems.
• Wear navy blue scrubs.- Work every other weekend and be available to work major holidays as specified.- Float to Cardiac Telemetry Unit and Med Surg Pulmonary unit if needed;
• ICU floating is possible with experience.- Complete an orientation of 13 hours. Additional Information : Full compliance required for timely start;

delays could push back the start by two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.- Compliance document deadline is the Tuesday before the start date.

References from two managers or higher positions are preferred at the time of application.- Required Time Off (RTO) is limited to a maximum of 7 days.

Previous travelers are welcome to return after completing one successful assignment elsewhere.
