Companion Needed in Davenport - Spanish Required

Community Resource Network of Florida   is looking for a caregiver  who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I / DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

The individual is a 25-year-old woman who lives at home with her mother and is in need of a companion to support her with morning preparation for her day program and to engage in activities during the weekends.

She enjoys painting, baking, going to the movies, and participating in community outings.

This is an independent contract position and pays $15.25 per hour Schedule :

• Monday – Friday : 6 : 30 am – 7 : 30 am (morning routine) Saturday & Sunday : 7 hours per day, flexible daytime schedule for companionship and community activities You will be a good fit for this position if you : Have a positive outlook and contagious energy  Demonstrate patience and compassion Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role : Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment  Performing light housekeeping tasks  Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization  Complete daily progress notes  Qualifications and Skills Valid driver’s license  Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
