Longstanding restaurant group with a large bakery component is seeking talented Assistant Managers to join their team at various locations across Los Angeles.

This is a VERY popular and highly successful company with a loyal following. A very exciting opportunity to join an established group that is still growing!

The ideal candidate will be energetic and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must also be familiar with managing large teams of over 100+ as this role will be responsible for supporting oversight of all front of house staff & operations.

Will be responsible for assisting with training, enforcing policies and procedures, overseeing the floor, and guest satisfaction.

Must also be familiar with P&L and cost control. Looking for someone that is thoughtful, intelligent, and articulate, with the ability to learn new things and take direction while leading the team by example.

A strong up and coming manager that has shown solid career progression and longevity thus far in their career would be most ideal.

This person must be able to work a flexible schedule, days off will rotate but are reasonable. NO late nights! Candidates with a college degree highly preferred.

Assistant Manager Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the FOH team
  • Maintain, support, and promote company culture and philosophies
  • Take initiative and help to build business
  • Contribute to controlling costs and maximizing efficiencies
  • Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Provide an excellent guest experience and resolve all guest issues
  • Hold the team accountable to high standards while remaining hands on and leading by example
  • Ensure the team is well educated on the menu items
  • Hire, train, motivate and coach team members
  • Assess employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities
  • Understand and comply with CA labor laws

Assistant Manager Qualifications :

  • 5-7+ years as an Assistant Restaurant General Manager (AGM), FOH Department Manager, Service Manager / Assistant General Manager, or Hospitality Manager in a high-volume restaurant operation is required
  • College degree highly preferred
  • Outstanding longevity in past positions and / or upward mobility and career progression also highly preferred
  • High-volume restaurant experience required, large format corporate restaurants ideal
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating a team

  • Thoughtful, intelligent, and articulate, with the ability to learn new things and take direction while leading the team by example

  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to guests and support to staff members
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Computer proficiency, including the use of Microsoft office
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
  • Food safety certification
