Pay range : $84k - $105k based on experience

Hospice nurses provide end of life care to help ensure the comfort and quality of life for their patients. They primarily work in collaborative, team-driven environments that require frequent communication with their patients, families, and other caregivers.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient, and calm. Hospice nurses are caring and kind individuals who possess a special hospice heart who can help our patients celebrate the rest of their life’s journey.
Responsibilities
Hours of operation : 9pm - 7 : 30am and every other weekend
JOB SUMMARY
- Serves as a team leader in supervising, assessing, planning, guiding, and evaluating patient care.
- Interacts with management, physicians, and field staff utilizing a teamwork approach.
- Assists with training and evaluation of all team clinical personnel; and maintenance / development of the clinical record.
- Processes all Electronic Medical Record workflow from Admission to Discharge.
Qualifications
- Education / Regulatory Requirements :
- RN degree from a college or university, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and / or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education preferred.
- Currently licensed and registered in the State of Florida.
- BSN and / or Hospice certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification.
- Skills :
- Two years of recent oncology, medical / surgical, or home health, public health experience.
- Expertise in support skills, palliative care, and educational techniques.
- Long term care experience preferred.
- Ability to supervise other Hospice care personnel.
- Able to coordinate with other health care providers in the delivery of patient care.
- Able to work effectively with lay and professional volunteers.
- Flexible, creative, assertive, articulate, nurturing and self-nurturing.
- Homecare Homebase software experience a plus.
- Able to work well under stress and deadlines.
- Demonstrates organizational, administrative, and personnel management skills.
- Professional Requirements :
- Communicates clearly and effectively in writing and verbally.
- Language Skills :
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.
