Benoist Brothers is seeking to hire an Assistant Branch Manager to provide inside sales support and leadership at our Owensboro, KY branch .
Position Overview
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for providing sales support and leadership to ensure exceptional customer service and innovative business solutions to meet the organizations growth goals that may include calling key accounts.
Must also foster a positive work environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Support HVAC counter sales by handling walk-in and phone orders.
- Follows company schedule for special promotions and sales. Oversees merchandise displays and overall appearance and cleanliness of store.
Make sure any special price signs are posted and registers have been updated to reflect daily price changes.
- Assists training of new clerks to understand systems, treat customers in a courteous manner, and become familiar with merchandise and its location within store.
- Monitors activity within store to observe quality of customer service and provide assistance as required.
- Maintain inventory levels and accuracy and ensure company assets are properly managed.
- Communicate effectively and lead by example with team members, customers, vendors, and leadership.
- Serves as back up for branch manager in their absence.
Requirements
- Familiarity with HVAC industry - 2+ years preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Previous customer service experience (preferred)
- Ability to learn computer systems (ERP, MS Office, eCommerce, etc.)
- Ability to listen and communicate well with employees and customers.
- Ability to quickly assess and resolve problems.
Other Skills / Abilities
- Organization skills and customer focused.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting, walking, and standing / combination of desk work and helping at the counter
- Bending twisting, climbing, crouching accessing inventory and supplies
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
