Job Title : Maintenance Tech III
Job Description
You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on production, processing, and utility-related equipment, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
You will also support the installation of new equipment, assist machine operators, and maintain documentation of all repairs.
Your expertise in maintaining and repairing buildings' plumbing, HVAC, air compressors, boilers, fire systems, and electrical systems will be crucial in minimizing equipment downtime
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility-related equipment, following all safety procedures.
- Support the installation of new equipment.
- Assist machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all repairs are documented.
- Maintain and repair buildings' plumbing, HVAC, air compressors, boilers, fire systems, and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses.
- Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures, including the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out / tag out program, and hearing and eye protection policies.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of working experience as a Maintenance Tech in any industry.
- Mechanical experience with belts, gears, bearings, motors, VFD, and sensors.
- Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and tolerate a variable climate.
