Medical Assistant
This part-time Medical Assistant will cover clinics in Dermatology and Float Pool at Lurie, and will also require covering dermatology clinics at Uptown as needed. Hours for the position are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between the hour of 8 am and 4 : 30 pm.
General Summary :
The Medical Assistant is responsible for daily clinical work in the outpatient / primary care setting in accordance with the Ambulatory Medical Assistant Scope of Practice. Assists Physicians and other staff under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Nurse and / or Physician.
Essential Job Functions :
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
High school diploma required.
Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant program.
Possesses 0 3 years of relevant clinical experience.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred but not required.
Some college, preferred.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
Excellent communication / listening skills. Substantial interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with pediatric patients, families, physicians, nursing and other allied health and medical center personnel.

Pay Range : $19.00-$28.50 Hourly
