POSITION SUMMARY : Oversees development and implementation of business, marketing and operating plans for service lines.
Accountable for financial performance, quality improvement and continuous improvement to meet targeted medical, clinical and operating outcomes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties :
- Develops and maintains plan for delivering cardiovascular clinical operations across the health system.
- Responsible for the overall operations of The Cardiovascular Institute and demonstrates an ability to operate the business unit independently and exhibit expertise in managing daily operations.
Participate in hospital operations committees.
- Oversees diverse array of administrative functions, including special projects, day-to-day operations, and implementation of key strategic operational initiatives.
- Evaluates the performances of the various functions, departments, services and products in the service lines against approved objectives and plans.
- Serves as business advisor to LG Health senior leadership regarding trends, issues and activities relevant to service line development and performance.
- Supports the achievement of the short- and long-term goals that will drive the success of the Service Lines.
- Oversees the financial performance promoting cost-effective and quality healthcare services.
- Assists executive leadership in building an organizational culture that is consistent with organizational values.
- Works in close partnership with the Medical Leaders of the Cardiovascular Service Line.
- Assumes responsibility for fiscal planning and budgeting, clinical portfolio growth, and other administrative initiatives.
- Provide leadership and serves as a point person for the health system of joint ventures, affiliations and partnerships.
- Monitors the quality improvement and safety activities.
- Facilitates with the service line teams customer experience activities.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS :
- Along with other senior leaders, represents LG Health in the community, promoting services and capabilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or equivalent education and experience
- Ten (10) years experience in senior line / management of hospital operations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in the operational functions of a health system.
- Three (3) years service line or equivalent leadership experience.
- Demonstrated track record of success in managing a complex clinical practice or hospital function.
