Summary of Duties & Responsibilities : Under the general supervision of the CNO, the Director of Nursing is responsible for the administrative and operational oversight of performance improvement and quality outcomes in all Nursing and Patient Care areas.
General Tasks & Responsibilities will include :
- Independently leads, designs, manages, and executes improvement initiatives through all project phases, able to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects in the Med-Surg patient care department.
- Uses project management skills to : develop project plans and timelines for improvement projects; effectively track deliverables and delegate tasks, coordinate project summary presentations, and maintain oversight of all project-related tasks, coordinates project summary presentations, and maintain oversight of all project related tasks necessary for project success.
- Responsible for the quality assurance regulatory and professional standards of care
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements :
- A valid NYS RN license
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing Administration or a related field AND 4 years of high-level responsible experience in nursing administration, three (3) years of which must have been in a hospital
