We are looking for a Process Engineer to support our Graphics Team out of our Houston, TX Location.

SUMMARY :

Determine the operations required for fabrication and assembly of complex products by determining sequence of operations and time estimates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Determine operations required for fabrication and assembly of complex products by reviewing drawings, specifications, blueprints or other data.
  • Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Coordinate new tooling requirements, modification of existing tooling, fixturing and generation of related drawings.
  • Work closely with sales and production staff to ensure adequate support of production schedules.
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Estimate production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Generate estimates to include production tooling layouts; generate bill of materials, engineer routing and item masters.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Confer with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
  • Supervise a team of Manufacturer engineering to troubleshoot and implement process change implementation via ECN, Kaizen, 5S process.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
