Job Summary :

Perform mechanical and visual inspections to determine the acceptability of PCBs at specified points in the manufacturing process with a primary focus on cross sections.

The QC Inspector is responsible for performing all inspections / related tasks as assigned by the QC Supervisor / Manager according to their respective work instructions, IPC specifications, and customer specifications.

Job Tasks :

Handling and Preparation verify traveler data / panel count, clean panels if necessary, and start up the Ionograph equipment.

Mechanical aptitude and good vision for section preparation and reading.

Inspection inspect boards for part number / revision letter, repeat defects, UL marking / code, material type / thickness, line width / air gap, image quality, plating quality, missing / extra holes, hole sizes, hole wall quality, registration, tin strip, adhesion, solder, solder mask, legend, and mechanical specifications per the appropriate work instructions.

Paperwork read / fill out Process Travelers, Final Inspection logs, certificates, perform data entry, and learns how to generate First Article Reports.

Requirements :

  • QC background in a manufacturing a plus.
  • must be able to follow documented procedures
  • must understand basic math
  • must have a good eye for detail
  • must have good reading and writing abilities
  • Basic computer skills.
  • must be able to use hand tools; calipers, micrometer
  • must be able to read and understand drawings
  • must be able to package boards for shipment
  • Must be able to complete FA Reports

Education / Orientation Requirements :

  • Advanced Circuits Orientation
  • Successfully compete the QC Certification Test and Audit.

Training Period : 2 4 weeks.
