Job Title : Nurse Manager After-Hours Phone Triage Line
Location : Bethel, AK On-site
Salary : $126,152.00 to $145,600.00
Bonus : $15,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year agreement, $20,000 sign-on for a 3-year agreement
Relocation assistance : $15,000 for individuals, $20,000 for families
Role Summary :
Our client is seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager to oversee the operations of an after-hours phone triage line, providing essential healthcare services to remote communities.
This pivotal role involves managing day-to-day operations, optimizing care processes, and ensuring the triage line functions efficiently to deliver high-quality, timely healthcare.
The Nurse Manager will collaborate with various departments, leveraging expertise in human factors, patient safety, and technology to improve care delivery.
Key responsibilities include implementing and managing this new line of service, coordinating with clinical teams and IT departments to design workflows that integrate seamlessly with electronic health records (EHR), and leading a team of phone triage staff.
The Nurse Manager will also play a vital role in training staff, handling overflow calls, and contributing to Quality Assurance and Process Improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an NLN-approved institution (Master’s preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record in implementing healthcare programs
Proficiency with medical equipment, telehealth technologies, and electronic health records (EHR) systems
Desired Qualifications :
Experience in emergency nursing, telehealth, or triage services
Familiarity with healthcare challenges in remote and underserved communities
Strong background in Quality Assurance and Process Improvement
Skills in crisis management and emergency response
