Duties

  • You will assist with ensuring funding requirements are met and executed.
  • You will provide analytic support to assist with crisis action planning.
  • You will analyze open source information.
  • You will aid with resource management coordination authority programs for various agencies.
  • You will provide guidance on travel issues.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector reviewing, analyzing, and executing multiple programs.

Examples of specialized experience should include most or all of the following :

  • Assisting with resource planning, programming and / or execution of funds;
  • Participating in planning, scheduling, executing and assessing training exercises;
  • Recognizing potential problems and assisting with corrective actions;
  • Adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to assess the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness and / or organizational productivity;
  • Following procedural guidelines, regulations and laws regarding the execution of funding requirements.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience :

  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
  • 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
  • LL.M., if related
