A growing healthcare network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner, with experience in Women's Health, for a promising opportunity at one of their practices in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity
- Schedule : Monday to Friday
- Hours : 8 : 30am to 5pm
- Setting : Outpatient
- Patient volume : 18-25 patients per day
- EMR : eClinicalworks
Responsibilities :
The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for :
- Conducting routine physical examinations and health assessments for women
- Providing preventive care, including immunizations and screenings
- Assisting with fertility issues and family planning options
- Monitoring and managing pregnancies, including prenatal care
- Conducting ultrasounds and other necessary diagnostic tests
- Diagnosing and treating gynecological conditions and disorders
- Conducting health education programs for women on various topics
- Providing support for women experiencing crisis situations, such as domestic violence or pregnancy complications
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of applicable experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- One of the following NYS licensures : WHNP, NP, ANP, and / or FNP
- Medicare / Medicaid Prescriber certification
- Solid assessment, clinical and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills :
- 2+ years of experience in an Outpatient role / setting
