The Department of Computing and Decision Sciences seeks candidates for a full-time teaching appointment commencing August 28, 2023.
The candidate will teach courses in business analytics and traditional quantitative methods.
Duties and Responsibilities :
The primary responsibility of the candidate will be teaching and developing courses in business analytics. The department offers business analytics degrees at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
The candidate will also be asked to teach courses at both levels.
Required Qualifications :
Candidates seeking a tenure track position must have earned in Information Systems or Quantitative Methods or a closely related field with a specialization in analytics;
however, applicants nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) may be considered. For appointment, the doctorate must be completed by the date of appointment (8 / 1 / 2023).
While excellent teaching is a requirement for the position, the faculty member will also be required to publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Candidates without a must have significant industry experience managing projects and / or departments that apply Business Analytics to either finance, marketing or accounting problems.
Candidates must have at least a master’s degree in Information Systems or Quantitative Methods or a closely-related field.
In addition, the candidate must have some prior teaching experience as either a full-time or adjunct instructor.
