Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN with NH or compact license and recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Positions available in an 18-bed pediatric unit including 4 PICU beds, 3 step down, and 11 pediatric med / surg beds
  • Patient population includes pediatric ICU, step down, and med / surg cases
  • Day / night rotation schedule with 36 hours per week
  • Care for pediatric floor level, level 2 (Q2h interventions, BiPAP), and level 3 (critical care) patients
  • May float to pediatric med / surg or ICN depending on patient census
  • Duties include caring for a range of pediatric acuity levels and floating as needed
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Must provide care for both ICU and non-ICU pediatric patients based on census and unit needs

  • Active NH or compact RN license required and must remain active for the assignment duration
  • APHON chemotherapy certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the past 2 years
  • No local candidates accepted; must live more than 75 miles from the facility
