Interim Associate Director of Accounting / Assistant Controller
Our client, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an Interim Associate Director of Accounting / Assistant Controller to join their dynamic team.
As a key player in the finance department, you’ll contribute to critical financial processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
This is a hybrid role and requires 2 days in the office.
Responsibilities :
- Own and manage month-end close processes
- Develop, document, and implement financial accounting policies and procedures
- Schedule and maintain month-end close calendars
- Oversee international accounting team interactions and compliance with US GAAP
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during audits
- Review profit and loss (P&L) statements for appropriate classification
- Manage and review monthly time reporting for project cost tracking
- Act as a liaison between Accounting and other cross-functional teams
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as needed
- Lead and develop the accounting team
- Support VP, Financial Reporting with external reporting and equity accounting
- Participate in special projects assigned by Corporate Controller and CFO
Requirements :
- Experience managing a GL accounting team
- Public company experience
- Biotech experience or clinical trial accounting background
- Familiarity with Netsuite (nice to have)
Compensation :
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure : $100 - $120 per hour.
