Description :
We're looking for a Patient Transport Supervisor who will work regularly with patients, providers, nursing teams on hospital units, imaging services technologists and nurses and is a critical component to ensuring a great patient experience. This individual will :
This position directly supervisors Patient Transporters and Lead Patient Transporters within their assigned sector(s)
This position acts as the liaison between patient transport operations and the clinical teams they support.
Responsible for the hiring, training and onboarding of patient transporters within their assigned sector(s)
Ensure sufficient staffing for transporters, responsible for creating schedules, finding coverage for PTO and call outs.
Works with Manager to create staffing model to optimize transporter availability to meet the needs of the department(s).
Partners with Manager and Director to develop departmental and staff goals, policies and procedures.
Responsible for reporting out daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc request for data including but not limited to volume, turnaround time, sector volume, mode of transport, reason for delay, etc.
This position is a working supervisor and will be required to work in transport in times of high volume and / or staffing shortages.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years of related job experience, or bachelors degree with 1 year of related experience.
Proficient with word processing, epic, excel and presentation applications.
