Opportunity Available : Pharmacy Technician at a Premier Hospital
Position : Pharmacy Technician (6-Month Contract Leading to Permanent)
Location : New Orleans, LA
Shift Details : Rotating shifts from 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM and 2 : 30 PM - 10 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.
Position Summary :
We are in search of a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate medication delivery to patients.
Training will be provided for various systems and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Fill medication orders efficiently using the EPIC system.
- Deliver medications throughout the hospital.
- Manage automated dispensing units, including OmniCell.
Required Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with EPIC and OmniCell systems is advantageous; we offer training.
- IV preparation experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A valid Louisiana pharmacy technician license is required.
- PTCB certification is preferred but not essential.
