Job Title : Travel Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Specialty : PCU Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 12-Hour Night Shift Guaranteed Hours : 36 Hours Per Week Experience : Minimum 2 Years in an 18+ Bed Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit;
At least one 13-week travel assignment completed License : Active NM or Compact License Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross) Must-Have : EPIC EMR Experience Preferred Job Description : Adhere to the 75-mile radius rule for travelers.
- No local travelers allowed.- Must be a team player in a fast-paced environment.- Ability to float to Med / Surg, ICU, and ED as needed.
- Care for telemetry patients boarding in ICU and admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands in ED.- Shift fluctuations may occur to fulfill department needs.
- On-call, weekends, and holidays required.- First to float within the facility and alternate locations within 20 miles of the permanent assigned location.
- Travelers that do not pass the required testing during the first week of assignment will be dismissed.- Ratios typically 1 : 4, but may go 1 : 5 / 6 based on patient acuity.
- Orientation includes EPIC training, not to exceed 40 total hours during the first week.- Must wear specified scrubs : White scrub top with scrub pants in sangria red, plum purple, hunter green, or black.
- Previous employees of the health system must have a 12-month interval from the last day worked to be eligible for a travel position.
- Holiday coverage is required.
