Business Analyst
Location : Englewood, CO - 4 days on-site (1 day remote)
Contract Duration : Contract through the end of the year with high likelihood for extension
Pay Rate : $40 / hour+ depending on experience
Overview : The Network Automation Management Platform organization is looking to bring on a Business Analyst to support communication across dev teams, intake business requirements and help drive process improvement.
Skill Set
- 2+ years of IT Business Analysis experience
- Experience writing business requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- Ability to lead daily standups and continue to drive process improvement across software development teams
- Experience using JIRA
Responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations.
- Working closely with Software Development teams that are supporting new features and upgrades to tools like OSP and MAP-T
- Determines user needs and requirements and recommends ways to improve systems.
- Serves as primary point of contact between users and engineering / development staff.
- Identifies, documents, reports, and tracks system issues.
- Supports the process of translating business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables.
- There is a requirement that the qualified candidate should have Scrum Master experience to include the ability to track progress and help the team achieve their commitments.
Progress is monitored daily when problems are identified work with team to develop corrective actions.
- Manage and report the status of scope, schedule, and resourcing. Extract and document requirements.
- Author user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work with technical team and product owner balancing the interests of both when issues arise.
- Remove impediments allowing the team to focus on engineering tasks.
- Take the lead on resolving conflicts within the team removing any roadblocks to collaboration.
- Guide project team meetings including sprint pre / planning meetings, daily scrum, and sprint review meetings.
- Facilitate retrospective discussions and support continuous improvement efforts and limit the external interference the team must deal with.
Interview Process
Will be a two-step interview process. One interview with the hiring manager and one panel interview.
