About The Position
Job Title : Radiology Technologist Job Specialty : Computed Tomography (CT) Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 10-hour Night Shift, 8 : 00 PM - 6 : 30 AM Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum one year of related experience License : ARRT Certification Certifications : - BLS (AHA) - Required- ACLS (AHA) - Preferred- PALS (AHA) - Preferred Must-Have : High School Diploma or GED- Graduate of an ASATT approved program preferred- Strong skills in patient care, time management, imaging, and radiation safety Job Description : Provide quality patient care in the medical imaging department.
- Perform high-quality CT scans while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.- Adhere to standards of safe radiation practice and follow ALARA principles.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and serve as a role model for other technologists.- Act as a clinical resource to unit personnel and ensure current standards of practice.
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures ensuring safety for self, patients, and others.- Communicate effectively with all physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff.
- Assist with patient preparation for exams and provide necessary information and instructions to patients and families.- Prepare rooms, equipment, and materials needed for exams.
- Maintain technical operation of equipment and notify the service department as necessary.- Ensure a clean work area and proper documentation for all procedures performed.
- Engage in continuous education to maintain a high skill level and share knowledge with colleagues.- Participate in clinical training for students and staff technologists.
- Contribute to department / hospital quality and process improvement initiatives.- Comply with all State, Federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations and standards.
- Provide coverage outside of standard scheduled hours as required.- Proactively identify problems and follow up with appropriate management personnel.
- Maintain a motivating and constructive rapport with physicians, staff, and system departments.Candidates may be required to float to locations within 60 miles of the original assignment or within a specified float zone, potentially performing duties outside their original job requirements.
